SUPPORT THE HUMANE PET STORE ORDINANCE
A local ordinance to stop the sale of puppy mill puppies and kittens in pet stores is needed in the city of Blaine, Minnesota. By going humane, Blaine will help end puppy and kitten mill cruelty and prevent consumer heartache that can result from purchasing a sick or behaviorally challenged pet from a pet store.
The Humane Pet Store Ordinance has passed in multiple cities in Minnesota (3 new cities recently!). Your help is needed to pass this ordinance in even more cities throughout Minnesota. Please use information on this website to help your local efforts.

What is the pet store and puppy mill pipeline?
Seven of Blaine's eight pet stores have already adopted a humane business model where they do not sell puppies or kittens — they are highly successful selling pet products and services to customers. By choosing to go humane, they have placed the welfare of animals first.
